Interfaith Canned Food Drive

We are proud to participate again in the Interfaith Food Drive in honor of Deah, Yusor, & Razan . Drop off food for this drive at our offices on Thursday 2/27 or Friday 2/28 or bring it to the Islamic Association of Raleigh on Saturday 2/29 between 10am-2pm. All food donated goes to Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.

Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha and Razan Abu-Salha had big ideas for how they wanted to help the world. One of Deah’s last facebook posts was where he and Yusor were giving food and free dental supplies to the homeless. Razan was a regular at Raleigh’s Moore Square, where she too fed those in need and left personal notes for the recipients.

For the past 5 years this annual food drive has been held in their honor and to continue this important work. In that time, donations have translated into over 244,438 meals to North Carolinians in need and this drive has become one of the largest 3rd party drives for the food bank. Check out the official event for this year on Facebook.
