JFS volunteers provide free transportation for older adults to medical appointments, religious services, and Jewish community social events. As this transportation is provided by volunteers, at least 1-week advance notice is required. At this time, our volunteers cannot accommodate disabilities. Please note, that due to the volunteer nature of this service, rides cannot always be guaranteed.

Contracted transportation:

Subsidized individual transportation provided by a contracted service for medical appointments, religious services, Jewish community social events, grocery shopping, and drug stores/pharmacies. This service is fee-based, allowing you to contribute towards the cost of your rides and the continuity of our transportation program. To qualify for our contracted transportation:

  • You must be 60 or older and unable to drive (temporarily or permanently)

OR

  • An adult under 60 with a disability and unable to drive (temporarily or permanently)
